Can a man or a woman be friends with someone who they had an affair with? Can males and females be friends without sex being involved? Does sex change a friendship?

Depends on if either of them are in a relationship. If so, then absolutely not. To still have communication with someone you had an affair with would still be cheating in my eyes. I do think that some males and females can be friends without sex being involved, but there's always that chance of one starting to have feelings for the other and could end up ruining a relationship.
What kind of affair? Was there an emotional connection? Did they share romantic feelings for each other? Or did they just hook up for a night of nasty naughty fun? If the "affair" included romantic emotions then in my opinion those two should be on the Off Limits as Friends List permanently for OBVIOUS reasons. If it was just a nasty sexy good time then why not be friends? If it turns into something more from there then maybe the friend status should change.
